Why Subscribe?
Subscription options reflect efforts to make offerings widely accessible, to address a range of needs, and to work with money creatively—toward both being resourced and resourcing others.
My commitment to striving toward justice includes ongoing attention to money and business practices. Subscriptions are part of a multi-tiered approach to “participating in capitalism under duress” (with credit to Monique Liston for this language) while striving toward anticapitalism and relational, regenerative economics. My multi-tiered approach includes tithing, sliding scales, payment plans, and registration options that re-route access and resources. I am always learning and unlearning and appreciate suggestions for where and how to do more.
I don’t want anyone to be priced out of offerings. I also want to be sure this business model is financially sustaining so that I am resourced to keep doing this work. Subscriptions are key for meeting both of these goals.
Capitalism teaches us all that we don’t have enough. It teaches us to maximize personal gain and get the “biggest bang for the buck.” It teaches us not to think about ourselves in relation to others or to question how our relationships with money impact our relationships with ourselves and each other.
As I strive to unlearn capitalism, I’m striving to break practices rooted in exploitation, extraction, and scarcity. I’m asking you, too, to do things differently. What you can pay? How can you support the commitment to accessibility?
If you are someone whose career is financially sustaining or who has access to resourcing, please consider subscribing.
Consistent subscriptions mean that I can worry less about making an income month-to-month and rest assured that I am well-resourced to do this work. It makes the sliding-scale model financially sustainable, and it means that anyone can register for offerings without having to share financial circumstances.
- Do you have questions about these subscription options?
- Would you like an option not currently offered?
- Do you have suggestions for how to deepen action toward commitments to justice, particularly working with money?
Again, please reach out. I appreciate feedback, learn so much in relationship, and know this work is deeply relational. And thank you to the many people—many of them subscribers—who continue to provide support in co-creating this work.

Frequently asked Questions (FAQs)
What does coaching involve?
Coaching can be many things, but at its best, it highlights what’s possible—possible in writing, relations, and life. Coaching involves channeling curiosity and commitment into meaningful conversation and into the transformations that flow from that conversation. It can answer questions, while bringing others to light. And it can be tailored for any sort of project, at any stage of learning or writing.
Sessions are confidential and tailored to you. We need such different things—at different life stages, with different projects, and for different reasons. There’s no one-size-fits-all coaching. I’m open to requests for what you want and need. And I’m happy to answer questions.
Reach out if you’d like to know more or to schedule a free 30-minute consultation to see if coaching feels right for you.
Can a subscription support me as a parent?
People bring their whole selves to the spaces we co-create, including writing groups, retreats, and workshops. Often, subscribers speak about their challenges and experiences as caregivers. Often, we talk about family systems and patterns learned in childhood that we’re now unlearning. Often, we fold into conversation lessons about boundary-setting, revising and letting go of expectations, and related matters.
Sometimes subscribers also ask questions to support the young people in our lives. For example, past newsletters have addressed questions about showing up critically as a PTA member and sharing resources with white parents to talk with young people (toddlers to teenagers) about race/ism.
As part of my email newsletters, I ask subscribers to share resources they’d like to pass along, so there’s the chance to connect with others similarly striving toward justice across many roles in life.
And I’m always open to suggestions! 🙂
Can I use professional development funds?
These subscription options are designed for individuals. If you’d like to use professional development funds to pay for coaching, writing retreats, or other offerings, let’s work together to create a custom invoice. We can talk about what you need in order to use professional development funds.
